The 5-day progression course programme to continue your learning
A refresher on the basics on the first day
The programme includes a session on the training slope, which is essential for re-establishing muscle memory, refining wing control and correcting the movements that determine the quality of your take-off. This is a key step towards making lasting progress and building on a solid foundation.
Flights in the morning and theory in the afternoon
Comprehensive supervision with two instructors over five days
The course runs over 5 weekdays, with a teaching programme designed to gradually improve the pilot’s technical skills. Supervision is provided by one instructor at the top and another at the bottom, ensuring close monitoring during both take-off and landing, with clear instructions and a constant focus on safety. A minimum of five solo flights is planned, provided the trainee has reached the required standard and weather conditions permit.
Who is this progression course for?
This paragliding course is designed for pilots who have already completed a beginner’s course and wish to continue flying in a supervised environment, without rushing things. It is particularly suitable for those who wish to turn their first flights into genuine practical skills: taking off more effectively, piloting more effectively, preparing their flights more effectively and understanding the conditions better. It is suitable for pilots who have just completed a Level 1 introductory course, with a skill level consistent with that between Level A1 and Level A2 / initial licence, before progressing later to the next level and the pilot’s licence.
Why choose the progression course at Aiguebelette?
Choosing this course means opting for a structured, clear and safe progression. You’re not just coming to ‘do a few more flights’: you’re coming to learn how to fly better. The weekday programme ensures genuine educational continuity, the presence of two instructors enhances the quality of supervision, and the exercises are designed to help you progress systematically.
The school, founded in 2005, is run by a team of experienced professionals with a clear aim: to train pilots capable of flying solo, not simply to rack up days of practice.
