The cross-country course is an advanced training course designed for pilots who want to learn cross-country paragliding. This 5-day weekday course focuses on sustained flight in dynamic lift and thermals, approach techniques, rapid descents and weather analysis. It prepares participants for the B licence of the Pilot’s Passport.
This course allows you to explore various sites in Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Isère. The aim is to learn the techniques of cross-country flying, analyse the weather in detail to plan potential flights, make the most of lift, and learn the techniques for moving from one site to another.
The Cross Course programme
5 days of long flights with 2 instructors
Supervision is based on a rigorous yet reassuring organisational structure, with one instructor in the air to assist with flight analysis and another at the take-off and landing points to collect you during ‘cow’ flights. This logistical approach enables you to undertake your introduction to cross-country flying with professionalism, comfort and safety.

Who is this cross-country course aimed at?
The cross-country course is aimed at experienced pilots who have built up a solid foundation before moving on to cross-country flying. Participants must have completed around 80 to 100 flights to take part in the cross-country course.
This is an advanced Level 4 course.

This course requires you to have your own equipment. However, this will be subject to a mandatory check; please do not hesitate to contact the office to discuss this before you arrive at the course.
